Design size

Type a width or drag the slider. It's the size of the stitched design itself; the height follows.

Sets the width to the usual size for that spot. You can change it after.

Fabric

Sets stitch density and underlay for what you're sewing on.

Thread

Type a number or drag the slider - more keeps fine detail like a face, fewer means simpler, faster sewing. The preview updates as you go.

Fine-tune

The color around your artwork. “Everywhere” suits line art on white paper.

Strokes thinner than this are sewn as a single bold line instead of a satin column. Raise it for script and handwriting fonts, whose thin strokes look ragged as satin.

Shorter stitches follow curves more smoothly. Small letters want about 1.3 mm.

The stitching sewn under fills and satin to hold them up. Heavy suits stretchy or fluffy fabric, light suits thin fabric that puckers.

Letters and shapes whose strokes are at least this thick are filled solid instead of stitched as satin bars, all of each letter. Off at 0.
